How To Register For MTN eSIM In Ghana

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

MTN Ghana now offers eSIM, also known as an electronic SIM, which is a digital version of the traditional SIM card. Instead of a physical card, the eSIM is a chip integrated into devices like phones, wristbands, or tablets during manufacturing, facilitating easy connection to your network provider.

The eSIM performs the same functions as a regular SIM card, but it’s activated by installing the “eSIM profile” on a device that supports eSIM technology.

This technology is available for both Pay-As-You-Go (Prepaid) and Postpaid individual and corporate subscribers. Existing MTN customers with registered numbers will have their numbers upgraded to eSIM.

For new subscribers, the registration process involves using the Ghana Card and providing biometric data. Upon successful activation of a new eSIM, users will receive a complimentary 10GB one-time non-expiry data bundle.

The launch of eSIM aligns with MTN’s vision to pioneer a bold, new digital world for its customers and achieve its Ambition 2025 goals. This technology enables customers to use multiple devices with eSIM compatibility, enhancing their overall experience.
