WhatsApp could only be connected to one smartphone when it was first released. You may now use WhatsApp from numerous smartphones thanks to WhatsApp’s successful multi-device deployment. Up to three more devices may now access WhatsApp, and you can link them in the same manner that you can already link a PC or a tablet.

Finally, it is arriving on phones right now. This may be useful if, for instance, you also have an Android phone or vice versa, in addition to your iPhone.

How To Link WhatsApp To Multiple Devices.

On the device you wish to connect, launch WhatsApp Web or Desktop. A QR code will appear for your primary phone to read.

For Android Users.

  1. Open WhatsApp on your primary phone
  2. Tap More options > Linked devices > Link a device.
  3. Unlock your primary phone:
  4. If your device has biometric authentication, follow the on-screen instructions.
  5. If you don’t have biometric authentication enabled, you’ll be prompted to enter the pin you use to unlock your phone.
  6. Point your primary phone to the screen of the device you want to link to scan the QR code.

For iPhone Users.

  1. Open WhatsApp on your phone. Go to WhatsApp Settings > Linked Devices.
  2. Tap Link a Device.
  3. Unlock your iPhone if you’re on iOS 14 or older:
  4. Use Touch ID or Face ID to unlock.
  5. If you don’t have biometric authentication enabled, you’ll be prompted to enter the pin you use to unlock your phone.
  6. Point your iPhone at the screen of the device you want to link to scan the QR code.
